Adoption of Best Fishing Practices 2009 |

This project aims to assist Moreton Bay fishing businesses develop and implement best fishing practices as a way to improve their business efficiency and contribute to environmental sustainability.

- Achieve measurable adoption of sustainable production practices by individual fishing businesses of Moreton Bay
- Improve awareness about the benefits of improving natural resource management
- Encourage sharing of innovative ideas and techniques between fishermen
- Share project outcomes with other groups so that, in the long-term, wider environmental targets can be measured for improvement (such as water quality and energy efficiency)
- Encourage other fisheries and other primary industries to develop and implement EMS and other eco-efficiency tools.
